3D printer in Tbilisi: where to buy one, prices and filament

Published 2026-10-05 · 8 min read

Tbilisi now has several shops where you can buy a 3D printer and filament with a warranty, plus marketplaces, second-hand deals and ordering from abroad. We go through each one: what it costs, how long it takes and where the catches are. We print on Bambu Lab machines in Tbilisi and went down this road ourselves.

Four ways to buy a 3D printer in Georgia

  • Specialist shops and electronics stores in Tbilisi, listed below. Upside: warranty and a printer in your hands today. Downside: prices are usually 10–25% above European ones.
  • Georgian marketplaces such as mymarket.ge and veli.store. Both shops and private sellers list there, so check who the seller is and whether there is a warranty.
  • Second-hand: the same marketplaces plus Facebook and Telegram groups. You can save 30–40%, but ask the seller to run a test print in front of you.
  • Ordering from abroad: the manufacturer’s official store, Amazon or AliExpress, shipped directly or through a forwarder. The widest choice, but expect 2–4 weeks and import tax.

3D printer and filament shops in Tbilisi

These sellers list printers and filament in their catalogs as of publication, October 2026. We are not affiliated with them and earn no commission. Check stock and prices on their sites.

Before buying, compare the price of the same model at two or three sellers and ask about the warranty and filament stock: the difference can be hundreds of lari.

What a printer costs in GEL

  • Entry level, Creality Ender and similar: 700–900 ₾. Cheap, but the first month goes into tuning.
  • Modern plug-and-print, Bambu Lab A1 mini: 1,200–1,500 ₾. The best choice for a beginner.
  • Bambu Lab A1 or the enclosed P1S: 2,500–3,500 ₾. Needed if you plan ABS and larger parts.
  • AMS multi-color unit: another 800–1,200 ₾. Without it you print in one color.

Customs: what to know when ordering from abroad

Parcels for personal use worth up to 300 ₾ and weighing up to 30 kg enter Georgia tax-free. A printer almost always costs more, so 18% VAT and a customs declaration are added. Forwarders usually file the declaration for a small fee. Rules change, so check the current terms with your carrier or on the Revenue Service website before ordering.

Work out the full price in advance: printer, shipping, VAT and a possible warranty return at your own expense. The gap with a local shop is often smaller than the sticker price suggests.

Where to buy filament

Filament is easier to buy locally than a printer. A 1 kg spool of PLA in Tbilisi costs about 60 ₾, PETG about the same, ABS and TPU 10–30% more. Search the same marketplaces for “filament”, “PLA” or “3D პრინტერის ძაფი”. Spools under 300 ₾ are also worth ordering from abroad because they come in tax-free.

Three tips. Buy 1.75 mm diameter, it fits almost every modern printer. Skip the cheapest no-name filament: it snaps and clogs the nozzle. Keep spools in a sealed bag with silica gel, because in Tbilisi humidity PETG and TPU absorb water within a couple of weeks.

What else you need in the first month

  • A second build plate, 60–120 ₾: one is always in use or cooling down.
  • Spare nozzles, 20–60 ₾ a set.
  • Cutters, a scraper, tweezers and a glue stick: often included.
  • Space: a 60 × 60 cm table, a socket, and ventilation if you print ABS.
  • Time: 20–40 hours to learn the slicer and get past the first failures.

When not to buy

If you need one part, or a few a year, a printer will not pay for itself: at an average order of 50 ₾ it breaks even at around the thirty-fifth part. A broken handle, a gift for a date or a housing for a project: it is easier to upload the file to the calculator and get the part the next day. No file? We will find a ready-made model or make one from a photo.

And while your printer is on its way from abroad, you can print your first parts with us. Many people do exactly that: order, look at the quality and then decide whether they need their own machine.
